Zoning overlay districts symbolized according to each community’s zoning map within Stark County, Ohio. The records in this layer were originally part of the Stark County Zoning Districts layer. This led to some confusion, as these overlay zones caused symbology issues with the layers they overlapped with. Instead of added a field to designate whether a district was an overlay, these special zones were extracted from that layer and this layer was created as a result. This layer only includes true overlay districts. These are instances in which a zone overlays another zone. Some communities have districts containing the word "overlay", but they are not true overlays if there is no overlap with another zone.
